Bernick & Beck is an integrated attorney services network. Bernick & Beck is not a law firm and does not itself provide legal advice or legal representation. We connect people who need legal help with independent, locally licensed attorneys ("Network Attorneys") who practice in the relevant jurisdictions and subject-matter areas, working together when a matter crosses more than one.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using this website, submitting a consultation request, or communicating with Bernick & Beck staff does not create an attorney-client relationship. That relationship, if any, is formed only when a Network Attorney and a client sign a separate engagement agreement directly with each other.
Independent Attorneys
Every Network Attorney is independently licensed, insured, and solely responsible for the legal services they provide. Bernick & Beck does not supervise, direct, or share liability for a Network Attorney's advice, representation, or conduct. Fees for legal services are set and collected by the Network Attorney, not by Bernick & Beck.
What Bernick & Beck Does
We operate the matching platform, marketing, and intake process that connects prospective clients to attorneys, including coordinating introductions across more than one jurisdiction when a matter requires it. We may charge attorneys a referral or marketing fee for that service. We do not review, edit, or guarantee the outcome of any matter referred through the network.
Network Participation Varies by Jurisdiction
The rules governing how a lawyer may participate in a referral network like Bernick & Beck differ by jurisdiction, and so does who may act as Bernick & Beck's counterparty in the participation agreement. In some jurisdictions, that counterparty must be an individually licensed lawyer; in others, it may be an entity holding an applicable license or regulatory authorization. Whether an attorney is eligible to join the network, and the specific structure of that participation, depends on the rules of the jurisdiction in which they practice and is confirmed during application review. It is not the same in every jurisdiction, and nothing on this site should be read as guaranteeing eligibility or a particular structure in advance of that review.
About the Map on Our Consultation Form
The interactive map on our consultation request form shows a generic set of major world cities, used only as geographic reference points so you can indicate your approximate location by clicking the one nearest you. It is not a list of Bernick & Beck offices or branch locations, and clicking a city is not a representation that we have Network Attorneys there. Attorney Advertising
Some content on this site may constitute attorney advertising under the rules of the jurisdictions where our Network Attorneys practice. Prior results described by any attorney do not guarantee a similar outcome in your matter.
Confidentiality of Submissions
Information you submit through a consultation request is used only to match you with an appropriate attorney and is not treated as privileged until you have engaged that attorney directly. Please avoid including highly sensitive details in an initial inquiry.
No Warranty
This website and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bernick & Beck is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or the referral process, including damages arising from the acts or omissions of any Network Attorney. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The Bernick & Beck name, logo, and the content of this site, other than content attributed to individual Network Attorneys, belong to Bernick & Beck or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
Fraud Notice
Bernick & Beck will never ask you to wire funds, purchase gift cards, or make advance payments directly to "Bernick & Beck" for legal services. All attorney fees are arranged directly with your matched Network Attorney. Report suspicious communications claiming to be from Bernick & Beck to [email protected].
