Privacy & Cookies Statement
Last updated: September 17, 2026. This explains what information we collect through this website, why, and what choices you have.
Who This Applies To
This statement covers bernickbeck.com and the intake process operated by Bernick & Beck, an integrated attorney services network. It does not cover the independent websites, communications, or data practices of Network Attorneys once you are working with them directly. Ask your attorney for their own privacy practices.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Consultation requests: name, email, phone (optional), region, practice area of interest, and a description of your legal matter.
- Network applications: name, email, jurisdiction, bar number, and practice details, if you're an attorney applying to join the network.
- Correspondence: anything you send us directly by email.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies on this site. See "Cookies" below for specifics.
How We Use It
We use consultation request details to identify and connect you with an appropriate Network Attorney, and to follow up on that match. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who We Share It With
We share the relevant details of a consultation request with the Network Attorney(s) we match you with, so they can evaluate whether to take your matter. We may also share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. hosting, email), bound by confidentiality obligations, and where required by law.
Data Security
Consultation request details are encrypted at rest. Access is limited to intake staff and administrators. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
Retention
We retain consultation request details only as long as needed to complete a match, and periodically review for deletion after a matter is closed. See our disclaimer for more on how submissions are handled.
Your Rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. See our Privacy Rights & Disclosures page for the specific rights that apply in the EU/UK, California, other U.S. states, Canada, and elsewhere. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected].
International Transfers
We will update this section with our data hosting locations and any applicable cross-border transfer safeguards as our infrastructure setup is finalized.
Cookies
This site does not currently set analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies for visitors browsing the public pages. If that changes, this statement and the Manage Cookies page will be updated first, and you'll be asked for consent where required.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to This Statement
We may update this statement from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
